Glen Patterson returns for the 2024-25 season which will be his fifth with the Elmira Impact organization. He will serve as Hockey Director/Premier Head Coach for his fourth season. Glen will oversee both our teams as well as lead player development and player advancement to college hockey and higher-level junior hockey. “I have seen and felt as a player how much the Elmira fans and community support local hockey,” Patterson said. “I loved playing here and I am thrilled to coach here.” “I guarantee our fans one thing: We will play an exciting brand of hockey bringing one hundred percent effort on every shift every night,” Patterson continued. A native of Cobden, Ontario, Patterson played more than 250 professional games during a six-year playing career in the United States, Sweden, and New Zealand. “Glen played a big role in what we achieved in our first four seasons advancing more than 50 players beyond Tier 3 junior hockey,” noted Elmira Impact President Tim Kolpien. “He and his staff will take our program and our players to even greater heights both on and off the ice in the 2024-25 season.”
The Elmira Impact Premier and Elite teams are playing at Murray Athletic Center and First Arena for the 2023-24 season!
The Elmira Impact have announced that Cameron Yarwood has been named Head Coach for the Elite Team for the 2024-25 season. Yarwood served as assistant coach for the Impact Premier Team for the 2023-24 season.
Yarwood played 91 games over 2 seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League before a professional career of more than 250 games over 7 seasons in
North America and Europe. Two of those professional seasons were as an Elmira Enforcer in 2018-19 and 2019-20, playing both defense and forward.
“Our players will benefit from Cameron’s experience in major junior and professional hockey, and he understands what it takes to play at those levels,” said Impact Premier Head Coach Glen Patterson.
“His knowledge of places he’s played and his familiarity with Elmira will be valuable to recruiting the right players to come here.”
“I am excited to return to Elmira to work with Glen to push our players to a higher level,” Yarwood said.
